(i) Except as provided elsewhere in this section, the employer must ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the following:    a. On or about June 13, 2018 and times prior operators were exposed to falls greater than ten feet when crossing the catwalk from the operator's station to the palletizer machine to clear palletizer machine jams.   b. On or about June 13, 2018 and times prior operators were exposed to falls greater than ten feet from unprotected edges when climbing on the palletizer to clear machine jams.
