DBA Huston Group- On or about June 14, 2018, and times prior thereto: employees worked with or around hazardous substances including, but not limited to, carbon monoxide and potassium hydroxide. The employer had not developed and implemented a written Hazard Communication Program.

29 CFR 1910.1200(b)(4)(iii): In work operations where employees only handle chemicals in sealed containers which are not opened under normal conditions of use, the employer did not ensure that employees were provided with information and training in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200(h) to the extent necessary to protect them in the event of a spill or leak of a hazardous chemical for a sealed container:   a.) Huston, Inc. DBA Huston Group- On or about June 14, 2018, and times prior thereto: employees handling containerized hazardous substances including, but not limited to, Chem-Gardoclean S 5657, were not provided information and training to the extent necessary to protect them in the event of a spill or leak of a hazardous chemical from a sealed container.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and material safety data sheets.   a.) Huston, Inc.
