29 CFR 1926.501(b)(9): Employees performing overhead bricklaying or related work 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems or shall work in a controlled decking zone: location: 2nd story on or about: 4/24/18 a} Employees were building a mason block wall at the exterior of the building. A proper controlled decking zone was not erected. The employees were exposed to a fall of 32-34 feet. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

The top rail was 53" above the working surface. The employee was exposed to a fall of 32-34 feet. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

The midrail was 30" above the working surface. The employee was exposed to a fall of 32-34 feet. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
