An employee was unsafely elevated using a JLG Model 8042 rough terrain forklift to lift a 50" by 12 foot scaffolding platform to install framing pieces.    The platform extended more than 2 feet beyond the width of the wheel base on each side which created an unstable working surface on the far ends of the platform.  Due to the width of the platform and placement on the forks, the platform was not centered laterally which placed the platform approximately 20" beyond the end of the forks.  This exposed employees to fall and struck-by hazards.
