29 CFR 1910.133(a)(5): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used equipment with filter lenses that had a shade number appropriate for the work being performed for protection from injurious light radiation  a) On or about July 23, 2018, in the manufacturing area, the employer failed to ensure that employees operating plasma arc cutting equipment and exposed to UV light were protected against radiant energy by using appropriate shade numbers filter lenses. Employees operating equipment light plasma arc cutting equipment used shade 5 glasses.
