Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.     On or about August 7th, 2018, employees of South Coast Maritime Corporation were exposed to struck-by hazards, falling materials, and fractured crane components while working on a barge crane which was hoisting a load beyond its capacity resulting in structural failure and collapse.
