29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed      a)  An employee was exposed to fall hazard when using an 8 ft stepladder was used to access an 11 ft high platform over the entrance door to the building. The ladder was not tall enough to provide safe access.       Location: 211 McGuinness Blvd, Brooklyn NY      On or about 8/14/2018      NOTE:  BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
