On or about August 17, 2018: Employees in the production area using the DeWalt Power Saw with abrasive wheel to repair cracks in rims, were exposed to flying particles where the employees were defeating the guarding attached to the saw by not using it or maintaining it in the up position during operation.

Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1904.29(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1253639, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 16, 2018, with respect to the workplace located at 3100 Medlock Road, in Norcross, Georgia.

On or about August 17, 2018: Employees working in the production area of the facility were exposed to corrosive chemicals such as but not limited to VibraFinish VF-103, and GreenSolv WheelStrip 273 WL. The plumbed eyewash station was not operating properly in that it did not have adequate water pressure. Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1904.29(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1253639, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on January 16, 2018, with respect to the workplace located at 3100 Medlock Road, in Norcross, Georgia.
