29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift: (a) On or about August 25, 2018, the employer did not ensure that employees operating an aerial lift used a body belt or a body harness with a lanyard attached to the boom or basket. Employees were exposed to falls of up to 18 feet while conducting soffit installation activities on a JLG 460SJ aerial lift. The employees did not attach a lanyard to the boom or basket of the aerial lift. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
