29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes:     H LINE  HOT WATER SEAL TANK     On, or about September 5, 2018, an employee cleaning sensors inside the HCCP line sustained second and third degree burns to her fingers when trying to retrieve a rag from the tank which was heated to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The employee was wearing a permeable latex coated mesh glove and should have been wearing an impermeable, chemical and thermal resistant glove.
