29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, a personal fall arrest system, or an alternative fall protection measure as provided by another provision in paragraph (b) of this section:  a. Employees performing roofing work are not protected from fall hazards by the use of a fall protection system.  The employer fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on September 29, 2018, when five (5) employees are working on a residential roof with a 3:12 pitch, at 3502 Lenczyk Drive W., Jacksonville, Florida 32277, without the use of any type of fall protection systems and are exposed to 13-foot, 6-inches fall hazards to the ground below.  Travis Slaughter d/b/a Florida Roofing Experts, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1318779, Willful citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 14, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1116 Nochaway Drive , St. Augustine, FL 32092.  Great White Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1251412, Willful citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on October 23, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1601 University Blvd. North, Jacksonville, FL 32211.  Great White Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1207836, Willful citation numbers 1 through item number 5, and was affirmed as a final order on August 24, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 31 Millikan Lane, Saint Augustine, FL 32080.
