29 CFR 1926.501(b)(4)(i): Each employee on walking/working surfaces was not protected from falling through holes (including skylights), more than six feet (1.8 m) above lower levels by personal fall arrest systems, covers, or guardrail systems erected around such holes. At the hotel, employees were performing roofing activities on the roof without fall protection near unprotected skylights exposing the employees to fall hazards of approximately 15 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system. At the hotel, employees working near the edge of the roof without fall protection exposed the employees to unprotected fall hazards of approximately 15 feet to the ground below.
