29 CFR 1910.157(d)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not selected based on the classes of anticipated workplace fires and on the size and degree of hazard that would affect their use:   a)  Grinding Area, on or about October 23, 2018 - The employer did not select a portable fire extinguisher based on the appropriate class of fire.  A Class D fire extinguisher was not provided in the grinding area where copper metal dust is generated.    ABATEMENT NOTE:  As per the safety data sheet for the Copper Alloy used at the facility - small chips, fine turnings and dust from secondary processing operations may be readily ignitable.  Use Class D extinguishing media on dusts, fines, or molten metal.
