29 CFR 1915.1026(d)(1): The employer with a workplace or work operation covered by this standard did not determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure for each employee exposed to chromium (VI a) JAL Enterprises dba The Source, Shop: On or about 10/12/2018, an employee welded with 316L stainless steel that according to the safety datasheet contained approximately 16-19 percent chromium. The employee's 8-hour time-weight average exposure was not determined therefore employees were potentially overexposed to toxic fumes. Note: The employer is to make this determination in accordance with either paragraph (d)(2), the scheduled monitoring option, or paragraph (d)(3), the performance-oriented option. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
