Senator International, Inc. - Maumee, OH: On or about November 19, 2018, the employer did not ensure that employees who operate and use compressed air to clean dust from sewing machines wore eye protection.  Employees were exposed to eye injury from flying dust and debris, and broken sewing needles.

Employees used the compressed air to clear fabric dust from sewing machine equipment.

Senator International, Inc. - Maumee, OH: On or about October 30, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the Pfaff twining machine #T6 (model 2596 s/n 02816463) was guarded to protect employees from point of operation hazards.  Operators were exposed to puncture and laceration injury in that the machine was used without a finger guard.    b. Senator International, Inc. - Maumee, OH: On or about November 20, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the Pfaff sewing machine #1 (model 2545) was guarded to protect employees from point of operation hazards.  Operators were exposed to puncture and laceration injury in that the machine was used without a finger guard.
