29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the face piece and exhalation valve: a) On or about November 28, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that respirators were stored properly. Employees who were required to wear full face tight-fitting respirators and supplied air sandblasting helmets did not store the respirators in a clean and protected manner after use. The respirators were laying in the box truck used onsite as the mobile office.

29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1)(v): The employer did not ensure that each user could demonstrate knowledge of the procedures for respirator maintenance and storage: a) On or about November 28, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that each employee knew the procedure for proper respirator storage. Employees who were required to wear full face tight-fitting respirators and supplied air sandblasting helmets did not store the respirators in a clean and protected manner after use.
