29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vi): Each employee performing overhand bricklaying operations from a supported scaffold was not protected from falling from all open sides and ends of the scaffold (except at the side next to the wall being laid) by the use of a personal fall arrest system or guardrail system (with minimum 200 pound toprail capacity):   a. US Route 22 & Terrill Road ("Watchung Retail" construction site)  The employer did not ensure that scaffolds were erected with guardrails on all open sides and ends to protect employees from falls from the working level.  Employees engaged in overhand bricklaying activities worked from tubular welded frame scaffolds that did not have end guardrails in any area of the working level.    Violation observed on or about November 30, 2018

29 CFR 1926.452(c)(2): Tubular welded frames and panels were not braced by cross, horizontal, or diagonal braces, or combination thereof, which would have secured vertical members together laterally  a. US Route 22 & Terrill Road ("Watchung Retail" construction site)  The employer did not ensure scaffold frames were fully braced by cross braces.  Employees engaged in masonry activities worked from tubular welded frame scaffolds that were missing cross-bracing to secure the frames laterally.   Violation observed on or about November 30, 2018
