29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d):    Powder Coat America Corporation, Lavonia, GA - An employee spraying powder coating was exposed to Total Dust of 18.8 mg/m3, 1.3 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 15 mg/m3. The exposure was derived from a sample taken over 110 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the 370 unsampled minutes on or about 2/15/19.    Powder Coat America Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard29 CFR 1910.1000(e), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1240999, citation number 1, item number 3d and was affirmed as a final order on 12/27/17, with respect to a workplace located at 105 Silo Lane, Lavonia, GA.

29 CFR 1910.134(e)(6)(i): The employer did not obtain from the physician or other licensed health care professional (PLHCP)  a written recommendation regarding the employee's ability to use the respirator: Note:  The recommendation shall provide only the following information: Any limitations on respirator use related to the medical condition of the employee, or relating to the workplace conditions in which the respirator will be used, including whether or not the employee is medically able to use the respirator.  Powder Coat America Corporation, Lavonia, GA - Employees powder coating were required to use a half mask, negative pressure respirator. According to employer, the medical evaluation was performed by local hospital; however, a written recommendation regarding the employees' ability to use the respirator was not obtained, on or about 12/11/18.
