One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.  Locations:   Winder 2:  On or about 3/6/19 the saw blade that cuts the sticks to length was not adequately guarded exposing the employee operating the machine to severe laceration and/or amputation hazards.  Operators fingers are within 3-5 inches of the blade while rotating. Location: Winder 3  On or about 3/6/19 the chemical container located on the back side of winder 3 was improperly labeled.  The manufacturers label on the container identified it as Glass Cleaner, the taped on label identified it as Coolant Mist.  The container actually contained a product called Mobilecut 100 (which contained skin and eye irritating type chemicals.
