29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): General. The employer shall provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee is fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace.   On or about December 28, 2018, employees that were required to wear tight-fitting respirators did not receive a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use the respirator.    Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c)

29 CFR 1910.134(f)(1): The employer shall ensure that employees using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator pass an appropriate qualitative fit test (QLFT) or quantitative fit test (QNFT) as stated in this paragraph.  On or about December 28, 2018, employees using a tight-fitting respirator were not given a fit test prior to the initial use of the respirator.   Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1913.19(c)

29 CFR 1910.212(b): Anchoring fixed machinery. Machines designed for a fixed location shall be securely anchored to prevent walking or moving.  On or about December 28, 2018, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from the drill press, grinder and the sander because they were not anchored to the floor.    No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
