29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace:    a) Powder coating booth - On or about 5/29/19, a powder coat sprayer was spraying POWDURA TGIC-Free Polyester Powder Coating on metal parts.  This sprayer was wearing a 3M 6800 elastomeric full face respirator with N95 and organic vapor cartridges.   The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace.      ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.1053(d)(3)(i): The employer did not perform initial monitoring to assess the 8-hour TWA exposure for each employee on the basis of one or more personal breathing zone air samples that reflect the exposures of employees on each shift, for each job classification, in each work area to respirable crystalline silica:     a) Powder coating booth - On or about or prior to 5/29/19, a powder coat sprayer sprays Polyester Epoxy Hybrid Based Powder Coating (contains < 1% crystalline silica) or  EN229QF Interpon 700 Raymond black (which contains crystalline silica) on parts. This sprayer was wearing a 3M 6800 elastomeric full face respirator with N95 and organic vapor cartridges over a head covering.   A respirator with a tight-fitting facepiece was worn by an employee with a condition that interfered with the face-to-facepiece seal.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
