29 CFR 1910.184(e)(1): Alloy steel sling(s) did not have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach: (a) On or about April 10, 2019 an alloy steel chain sling attached to overhead crane CR 12 did not have a permanently affixed and durable identification tag; in that, the size and reach of the sling were unrecognizable on the tag affixed to the sling. This made proper inspection of the sling impossible and exposed employees using the sling twice a night, lifting loads up to 18,249 pounds, to a crushed-by hazard.
