29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the commercial construction site located at 5050 Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Glass installers were observed installing glass and working at height. Glass installers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 12 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection.
