OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to flying particles into bodies of employees due to the hazard of compressed air at pressure of 175 psi being transported by PVC pipes in the facility:   1774 Iris Drive SW, Conyers, GA (Throughout Shop Area) - Employees were exposed to being struck by shrapnel. PVC pipes were being used to transport compressed air at pressures of 150 psi.  Compressed air was being used for shop tools and machines for body repairs on automotive vehicles , on or about 04/22/19.   AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THESE HAZARD IS:   Replace the PVC pipes with an impact resistant Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) pipe.  This pipe is recommended by the plastic pipe institute for t his purpose.
