29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6.  The employer is failing to protect the employees from compressed gas cylinders not being stored properly. This was most recently documented on June 6, 2019 at Tri-City Sign located at 363 N. Elm Street, Grand Island, NE 68801.  A compressed gas cylinder was found to be unsecured while not in use.  This presented a struck by hazard.

29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment.  The employer is failing to ensure that protective eye equipment is worn when performing welding tasks, including tack welding operations on the production floor.  This was most recently documented on June 4, 2019 at Tri-City Sign located at 363 N. Elm Street, Grand Island, NE 68801.  Tack welding was being performed without the proper Personal Protective Equipment (welding helmet).  Employees performing welding operations were not utilizing protective eye wear.
