29 CFR 1910.22(b): The employer did not ensure that each walking-working surface could support the maximum intended load for that surface. a) Jobsite: 4207 Chester Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 3rd floor, east side of building, balcony - An employee was working from the balcony which was unable to support the maximum intended load for its surface. The employee suffered serious injuries after the balcony fell off its structural support and landed onto the balcony below. Noted on or about 6/27/19.

29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): Walking-working surfaces were not inspected, regularly and as necessary, and maintained in a safe conditions: a) Jobsite: 4207 Chester Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 3rd floor, east side of building, balcony - The employer did not maintain the surfaces on the balcony used to access the stairway in safe conditions. An employee walking across a balcony to access the door to the stairway suffered serious injuries when the balcony collapsed onto the balcony below before landing on the ground level. Noted on or about 6/27/19.
