29 CFR 1926.304(f): Section 4.1.9(c) American National Standards Institute 01.1-1961, Safety code for /Woodworking Machinery as adopted by 29 CFR 1926.304(f): Radial saw(s) used for ripping were not provided with nonkickback fingers or dogs: (a) Second Floor Yoga Studio - On or about June 28, 2019, flooring mechanics were using a Delta 10 inch portable table saw (serial no. 2018-250573) to rip 1 X 8 X 1/2 inch lumber while the saw was not provided with nonkickback fingers or dogs. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.304(f): Section 4.1.2(a) American National Standards Institute 01.1-1961, Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery as adopted by 29 CFR 1926.304(f): Circular hand-fed rip saws were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed: (a) Second Floor Yoga Studio - On or about June 28, 2019, flooring mechanics were using a Delta 10 inch portable table saw (serial no. 2018-250573) to rip 1 X 8 X 1/2 inch lumber while the saw's rotating blade was not protected by a hood or similar suitable guarding. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
