Brook Drive. Yorktown, VA 23691, employee(s) were exposed to flying debris and wood chipping hazards without any eye and face protection while operating a Terex Woodsman Model 730 Brush Chipper without an infeed safety curtain. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

(a) On or about 08-01-2019 and times prior thereto, Eastern Forestry & Tree Service, Inc., located at Yorktown Naval Weapons Station housing complex in front of residence 1571 B. Brook Drive. Yorktown, VA 23691, employee(s) were exposed to wood chipping hazards from the infeed chute safety bar linkage being altered or temporarily repaired with tape, a chainsaw Bar Nut Spanner Wrench tool and a plastic zip-tie. The manufacturer's linkage fasteners were missing and replaced with those described items. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
