29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds was not fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports as specified in paragraphs 1926.451(b)(1)(i)-(ii)  a) Worksite- 224 Buffalo Ave., Freeport, NY- Employees were working at the second level of a scaffold installing decorative veneer to the exterior of a commercial building. The level they were working on had three planks installed between the uprights. Three planks were missing; on or about 8/1/19.   Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.451(f)(7): Scaffolds were not erected, moved, dismantled, or altered, by trained and experienced employees under the supervision and direction of a competent person.   a) Workplace, 224 Buffalo Ave., Freeport, NY- Employees were working at the 12' level of a scaffold installing decorative veneer to the exterior of a commercial building.  The second level  of the scaffold was missing three planks and also had no guardrails. The scaffold was not erected under the direction of a competent person qualified in scaffold erection; on or about 8/1/19.   Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
