29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet. a) Tim Carper DBA Tim's Mid-Ohio Home Improvement, LLC on or about August 15, 2019 at the address of 50 South Linwood Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio: The employer did not ensure the side rails of the 24 feet aluminum extension ladder was extended at least three feet above the landing surface. Employees were exposed to falls while accessing and exiting the roof and when working from the ladders installing fascia board.
