29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    a. Fabrication Area - The employer allowed employees to operate a Logan Lathe, Model Number 6564H, without a lathe chuck guard.  Employees were exposed to rotating parts and flying chips.  Observed On or About 09/12/19    b.  Finishing Area - The employer allowed employees to operate a horizontal belt sander without guarding the ingoing nip points. Employees were exposed to an amputation hazard.   Observed On or About 09/12/19
