29 CFR 1926.1417(a): The employer did not comply with all manufacturer procedures applicable to the operational functions of equipment, including its use with attachments: Jobsite: A Mantis model 14010, seventy (70)-ton hydraulic crawler crane was used where the manufacturer's procedures were not followed: a. A Johnson three (3)-sheave hookblock was used without a documented hookblock weight or hookblock load capacity. The manufacturer's procedures call for a five (5) sheave hookblock with a seventy (70)-ton capacity weighing fifteen hundred (1500) pounds; b. An unidentified/unmarked overhaul ball with swivel was used without documented overhaul ball weight or overhaul ball load capacity. The manufacturer's procedures call for a twelve (12)-ton overhaul ball with swivel weighing five hundred eighty-four (584) pounds.
