29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function:   SF Terminal E Gate, Tanks on Main Deck Forward and Aft Ends:  An employee required to wear a 3M half-face, tight fitting respirator to protect against organic vapors and particulates had facial hair preventing a proper seal.  This employee was exposed to inhalation hazards when sanding and painting inside a permit required confined space.
