29 CFR 1926.100(a):  Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns:      a) On October 9, 2019, an employee working on the lower level was not wearing a protective helmet where there was a possible danger of head injury from falling objects during rough carpentry operations.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor  did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502:       a) On October 9, 2019, employees engaged in rough carpentry work were not protected from fall hazards while working from a height of approximately 19 feet above the ground.        b) On October 9, 2019, employees engaged in rough carpentry work were not protected from fall hazards of approximately 11 feet to the ground while working near unprotected wall opening.       c)  On October 9, 2019, employees engaged in rough carpentry work were not protected from fall hazards of approximately 10 feet to the lower level while working near unprotected floor opening.     No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
