29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs,  debris was not kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures:  a) Workplace: 496 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead NY - Employees were walking and working within the construction area on the south side of the commercial building were debris and material was not kept clear from the passageway; on or about 10/09/2019.  Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19

29 CFR 1926.350(a)(9): Compressed gas cylinder(s) were not secured in an upright position:  a) Workplace: 496 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead NY - Employees were performing remodeling work in an area immediately adjacent to six compressed gas cylinders that were not secured, on or about 10/09/2019.    Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.350(a)(10): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinder or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour.  a) Worksite, 496 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead NY - Acetylene and Oxygen compressed gas cylinders were stored within approximately 10 ft. of each other inside of a commercial building, on or about 10/09/2019.  Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
