29 CFR 1910.213(a)(15): Combs (featherboards) or suitable jigs shall be provided at the workplace for use when a standard guard cannot be used, as in dadoing, grooving, jointing, moulding, and rabbeting.    a) Wood Shop: An employee was authorized to cut a 6.5" (width) piece of wood using an ALTENDORF Sliding Table Saw (Machine #160961026).  A featherboard or suitable jig was not provided when a standard guard could not be used ; on or about 11/8/2019.    b) Wood Shop: An employee was authorized to cut a 1.5/8" (width)  piece of wood using an ALTENDORF Sliding Table Saw (Machine #160961026).  A featherboard or suitable jig was not provided when a standard guard could not be used; on or about 2/27/2020.        NOTE: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to provide abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

A spreader was not provided; on or about 11/8/2019.    b) Wood Shop: An employee was authorized to cut a 1.5/8" (width) piece of wood using an ALTENDORF Sliding Table Saw (Machine #160961026).  A spreader was not provided; on or about 2/27/2020.     NOTE: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to provide abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
