29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):  Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:      a)  On December 3, 2019, employees performing masonry work at a commercial property were exposed to a ten story fall when the employer failed to ensure that fall protection was utilized.    Holton Brothers, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1260461, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 10, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1120 Warren Ave., Downers Grove, IL 60515.
