29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: Stock Room and Store: On or about December 30, 2019, employees were exposed to struck by hazards while working where unsecured compressed gas cylinders were transported from the stock room to the front of the store on a two wheel hand truck (dolly) where a device to prevent the cylinder from tipping was not utilized.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: Stock Room: On or about December 30, 2019, employees were exposed to hazards associated with a delayed emergency evacuation of the building while working where boxes of merchandise, store equipment, and empty cardboard boxes obstructed the exit route in the stock room to less than the minimum width requirement of 28 inches in the following locations: 1) Near the helium tanks - 16 inches 2) Near the break area - 16 inches 3) Between the break area and the freezer along the exit route - 22 inches 4) Near the side access door of the freezer - 17 inches The Dollar Tree Stores, Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 967705, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 28, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 8028 Denton Highway, Watauga, TX 76148.
