29 CFR 1926.200(g)(1): Construction areas were not posted with legible traffic signs at points of hazards:    (a)  721 Kennedy St., NW, Roadway - A construction laborer acting as a flagger was exposed to a struck-by hazard from oncoming vehicular traffic while standing in the travelled way of a two-way street in order to control vehicular traffic while one of the lanes was closed by a parked truck and trailer in use at the construction site, and no advanced signage was provided to warn approaching motorist of the lane closure as required by Section 6G.03 of the MUTCD-2009.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

(a)         721 Kennedy St., NW, Roadway - A construction laborer acting as a flagger was exposed to a struck-by hazard from oncoming vehicular traffic while standing in the travelled way of a two-way street in order to control vehicular traffic while one of the lanes was closed, and no transition areas were provided to direct motorists from the normal travel path to a new path as required by Section 6C.05 of the MUTCD-2009.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
