29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:         a. 377 Rahway Rd., Edison, NJ - Back of house    The employer did not ensure safe roof access for employees engaged in residential construction activities.  Employees installing solar panels used a Multi-Position Gorilla Ladder® as access to the roof eaves that did not extend at least three feet above the landing surface.    Violation observed on or about January 23, 2020

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:     a. 377 Rahway Rd., Edison, NJ - Roof    Employees engaged in the residential constructions activities were not protected from falls.  Employees installing solar panels on a two story home worked on a steep pitch roof without any means of fall protection.      Violation observed on or about January 23, 2020    Green Power Energy, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1411888 , citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on August 19, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 7 Evergreen Pl  Sparta, NJ 07871    Green Power Energy, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1100777, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 30, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 604 Eighth Street, Carlstadt, NJ 07072
