OSH ACT of 1970 Section(5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees ere exposed to the hazards of being struck by flying debris and plastic shards in the event of catastrophic failure and shattering of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) distribution lines used to supply compressed air.    On or about February 13, 2020, and at times prior thereto, schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) distribution lines were used to transport up to 150psi of compressed air in the production shop area for employees to operate commercial printing machinery and for cleaning purposes. The PVC pipe was installed above ground, was not designed to transport compressed air and was not cased with approved materials to protect against any internal/external forces or stresses.
