OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to combustible wood dust fire hazards associated with the use of an indoor enclosureless dust collector for equipment associated with frequent production of sparks:  (a)   On or about February 13, 2020  Building 3:  A Belfab XL150 enclosureless dust collector was used to collect combustible wood dust from upstream woodworking equipment including a Butfering Super-213RL large belt sander having an automatic feed system.  The use of the indoor enclosureless collector on equipment likely to produce sparks/embers during use, such as the large belt sander, exposed employees to combustible dust fire hazards (i.e. exposure to flame and/or hazardous byproducts of fire including smoke and toxic gases).
