OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees   Location: 10 Park Place Butler, NJ 07405  a) Employees were exposed to fall hazards while using the building freight elevator. The freight elevator Peele hatch door safety device was bypassed, which allowed it to be opened when the elevator cart was not in the landing area. Thereby creating a fall hazard of approximately 14 feet. On 03/07/2020, an employee sustained a fall while stepping into the elevator landing area without the elevator being present.
