29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.   a)     Holiday Inn Express, Front covered walkway:  On or about June 11, 2020, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to falls of 17 feet 7 inches to the lower level, in that a complete fall arrest system was not provided to employees while conducting welding activities on a metal roof. Employees were wearing a body harness but were not anchored in and tied off.
