29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  Employees located at 20200 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, Kansas were exposed to fall hazards.  Employees engaged in framing activities, using a 16 foot extension ladder,  were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet from the second level of the residence to the lower level. Employees were exposed in that the ladder was not secured to the building and did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface.

The Guerra Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1439932, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/26/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 17780 Antioch Road, Overland Park, Kansas  66212.

29 CFR 1926.501(c): When employees were exposed to falling objects the employer did not require employees to wear hard hats and did not implement measures to prevent objects from falling from higher levels as set forth in (c)(1)-(3) of this section:  At 20200 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, Kansas employees were exposed to struck-by hazards, from falling objects on upper levels, in that no protective helmets were being worn, and no measures were implemented to prevent objects from falling from higher levels.  The Guerra Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1439929, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/14/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 17780 Antioch Road, Overland Park, Kansas  66212.
