College Road in Oberlin, OH: The employer did not have a plan or program to identify job site hazards which assist employees in maintaining a safe working environment.  Such programs would support the employer and employees in identifying and avoiding potential hazards such as falls from the roof and scaffold during job site operations, decreasing the probability of employee injury and/or illness.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:   a)  On June 29, 2020 at the worksite located at 129 W. College Road in Oberlin, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as, but not limited to, the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures while performing roofing work.  Employees were exposed to a 20 foot fall hazard to the ground below while performing roofing activities.

College Road in Oberlin, OH: the employer did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards while utilizing a scaffold  to perform roofing work at the edge of the  2 story residential roof.  Employees were exposed to a 20 ft. fall hazard while performing the work.

College Road in Oberlin, OH:  The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while performing roofing activities on a residential building.  During this activity, employees were exposed to falls up to 20 ft to the ground below.
