29 CFR 1910.333(a)(2):Where exposed live parts were not deenergized (i.e., for reasons of increased or additional hazards or infeasibility), other safety-related work practices were not used to protect employees who could be exposed to the electrical hazards involved: a. On or about July 8, 2020, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee assisting with an annual infrared thermograph electrical test, i.e., thermal scan or infrared test, was not protected from exposed live parts, thereby exposing the employee to hazards associated with electrical explosions.

29 CFR 1910.335(a)(2)(i): When working near exposed energized conductors or circuit parts, each employee did not use insulated tools or handling equipment when the tools or handling equipment might have made contact with such conductors or parts: a. On or about July 8, 2020, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee, working near energized electrical components, i.e., Federal Pacific QMQB Unit Switches, utilizing a conductive Allen wrench, made contact with an energized 277 volt conductor inside of the unit, thereby exposing the employee to hazards associated with electrical explosions.
