29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 paragraph (b) or (c) of this section:   a) 6800 Airport Blvd, Mobile AL; On or about August 10, 2020 the employer exposed employees to cave-in hazards in that employees were allowed to work inside of an excavation measuring 8 feet deep, 80 feet wide, and 43 feet in length that was dug in class B soil. The employer had not complied with the standard in that employees were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system and the excavation was sloped at an angle steeper than one and one-half horizontal to one vertical.
