29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(v): The employer used forklifts to support scaffold platforms without ensuring that the entire platform was attached to the fork and that the forklift was not moved horizontally while the platform was occupied: Note: Preamble to Subpart L promulgated new paragraph (c)(2)(iv) & (v) in final rule to provide guidance. Added provision requires that in the case of fork-lifts, the entire scaffold platform be secured to the forklift. All supported scaffolds, including those supported by forklifts, front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment, must comply with the applicable requirements of �1926.451 for capacity, construction, access, use, and fall protection. (Quotation from 61 FR 46044, August 30, 1996) (a) On or about August 12, 2020 - 491 Medlock Road, Albertville, AL, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 24 feet when the scaffold platform was not attached to the fork and the forklift was moved horizontally while the platform was occupied when moving employees up to the roof and down from the roof.
