29 CFR  1926.652(g)(1)(iv):Employees shall not be allowed in shields when shields are being installed, removed, or moved vertically.  a. On or about September 16, 2020, an employee was working in a trench shield while one end of the trench shield was being moved vertically. The trench sidewall caved-in causing soil to enter the bottom of the trench resulting in the employee being exposed to a caught-between hazard.
